RMweb Premium Foxley Posted November 4, 2013 RMweb Premium Share Posted November 4, 2013 I really, really, really, wanted to attend this, considering it's only about 5 minutes from me, alas, it isn't meant to be due to work on both days. Hope it's a good one!

Major Clanger
Visitors please note that roadworks are taking place on Anlaby Park Road North (the road past the venue), which means that it is closed at certain times on weekdays. It will be open on the Saturday and Sunday of the show, but I've noticed that the contractors are a bit lax at putting away their temporary signs when they've finished work for the day. So ignore any "no left turn" or "no right turn" signs into each end of Anlaby Park Road North. UPDATE - the contractors have been asked by the Council to remove all restrictive signs on Friday evening. Also, a trench has been dug across the venue entrance during this week, causing a slight ramp. Please be careful when entering the car park! And now to polish the trophies ready for handing out on the Sunday.... UPDATE - trophies polished, and very nice they look too.
BigMal
Show equipment extracted from the depths of the club rooms last night. All we have to do now is move it to Costello Stadium and erect everything - groan!!! At least it's not raining. Mal

steve1
Spent a very pleasant day on the DEMU stand today. Happy to have shown a few little modelling wheezes to those who were interested and intrigued a few more with Catte Lane even if it wasn't actually operating. Thanks to Major Clanger for inviting the Society to attend. steve

hoffers
Arrived about 11.30am and ended up staying until about 4pm!!! Enjoyed it very much and met a few people I knew from days gone by. The show had a varied selection of traders supplying all those little detailed extras that one needs to bring a layout to life. i sat in on a couple of demonstrations (soldering and weathering) which were very helpful and interesting. All in all a super show and glad I made the trip from York.
