The only member I am aware of was on the Purbeck layout. I had a long conversation with them about the layout. I knew about Purbeck Stone but was not aware of the ball clay industry. It makes you wonder how much ball clay would be transported by rail now instead of the road if they had kept the Purbeck Line open. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

I promise to make a better effort at the next exhibitions I go to. The next three I should be going to are Ally Pally, Crawley and Epsom and Ewell at NESCOT. My problem is that I'm like a kid in a sweet shop. So much good stuff to see and buy that I don't pay much attention to anything else, that or it's an age thing.
