Nah, it would be a CK composite and BSK brake ;)

It is a wonderful short train though

That's pretty extreme 'weathering'. Can't help but wonder if the instructions to the driver included 'don't go over any rail joints'

A very similar Mk1 formation appears several times in "A Line for all Seasons", unfortunatley the only way to get a Mk1 Brake first was a kit build and Southern Pride haven't had that in stock for somtime. The same film also has a shot of a single coach train. I believe this maybe part of the overnight sleepers, on arrival at Fort William the day coaches were detached to form a morning departure to Mallaig.

Replaced one wheelset after stripped gear with a spare from Bachmann and forgot to weather the new wheels?

66004, no 2 end, axle no 6. Seen today. If you want to model new class 66 wheelsets, also notice how the outer of the bearing is a terracotta coulpur, very noticeable on a loco with 6 new sets.

Presumably the tube is going to Rosyth for some work? An awful long way from London!

It looks like the picture was taken at Dalmeny and it’s been refurbished at Rosyth and heading back to London

When was the date of the refurbs please? I have this pic' of a 31 going north through Crewe but no date.

The refurbishment was on Piccadilly Line 73 stock and on close examination of the picture, it’s either 59 (Northern) or 62 (Central) stock.

In the earlier days of transition there were many case of DMU's having one car in blue and another in green etc.  However, in more recent times I don't ever recall a 2-car Class 150 having different liveries.

I got one of these from Bachmann.

Hybrid Provincial / Regional Railways liveried Class 150 by – FelixM –, auf Flickr

It started life as a RR liveried unit with a second hand trailer in Provincial added later. It even featured in my fast-running clock timetable short demo video:

Two tractors for a load of 5 MRA tipper wagons? That's not the most unusual bit though, looks like whoever applied the numbers on 218 was pushed for time...especially the furthest set! :O

Perhaps the loco was on a gradient when the numbers were done :)

Years ago myself and a mate who sadly is no longer with us put the Mirage nameplates on D6732 carefully getting them level with a spirit level at weyborne unfortunately the loco was stood on a slight gradient and yes the plates were always slightly on the pi$$

One of the maintenance engineers in a place I worked in had done his time in the NB Loco. One of his early apprenticeship tasks had been to make up a batch of worksplates, with individual numbers making up the works number. One had been a bit uneven, and he was afraid it would be rejected, but it was accepted. When he finished his time, he went to sea. Coming through the Suez Canal one day, he was up on deck as the ship passed a train stopped by the canal. Yes, it was an NBL engine and yes, the works number was somewhat uneven!
