They don’t last long that’s for sure, Simms at Newport at taking a train a week generally. With only a run round loop at the site they must drag them off the rails for disposal or cut them as soon as they arrive. Part of the reason I asked my question, was because I saw the unit had a pantograph on the roof. I would have thought that such items could be re-used before the vehicle went for scrap.
