SDJR7F88
Rob the owner of the recently weathered wagons in the US, like them so much he has asked me to do another 5 for him! This time lightly done, to represent represent refurbished ones. Work has just started on them, with the sponge painting of the of insides and very, very lightly on the outsides too (so light it can hardly be seen on camera)! More progress to come!

SDJR7F88
Had an amazing time at the Swindon Railway Festival Yesterday! And had the opportunity to have a hands on tutorial, weathering with inks and powders by non other than master weatherer Barry O. Must say I learn so much in such a short space of time! I took along with me my disastrous first attempt at a tanker wagon, a Bachmann TTA which I had a go on. After a couple of hours having a go look wagon improved tenfold! Even managing to improve the awful oil stain! Will be sure to give it another go when I have another tanker to have a go at. Big Thanks to Barry for all the help! If you haven't please check out his topic on his weathering work; http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/64160-weathering-with-ink-and-weathering-powders/ Here's some pictures of how the TTA turned out, please tell me what you think! hornbyandbf3fan
Nice, I prefer the side where it looks like an attempt has been made to clean it
SDJR7F88
Nice, I prefer the side where it looks like an attempt has been made to clean it Thanks Will! Yes, that my favourite side too . The reason way the other side looks more dirty is because of the massive mistake I made when I first weathered the wagon and it would not come off . Will be sure to make sure I get it right first time on the next one
SDJR7F88
The Second batch of Bachmann Slope Sided 16 Ton Mineral Wagons is now complete! All that's left to do now is to hopefully film another layout to layout video with them, before they are sent back to Signal Models, Midsomer Norton, ready to be shipped to the USA, to join the 12 all ready there. Hears a few pictures of them. Sadly not the best of images as I took them inside, but they will have to do. Running video hopefully coming soon!

SDJR7F88
With the second batch of 5 Bachmann Slope-Side 16 Ton Mineral Wagon ready, another layout to layout service was planned, between me and Rob (the owner) in the USA . For your viewing delight, here's the latest Weathering Service! On October 10th 1964, Ex GWR 8750 Class, '4666' departs from Templeton Yard with a mixed freight service. In the rake are 5 BR Slope-Sided Mineral wagon bound for Farland. The 5 wagons will join the other 12 Mineral Wagons used at nearby collieries in the area. '4666' will be taking the services as far as Upton Goods Yard, where the rake will be split into separate rakes and another engine will take the Mineral Wagons onto Farland. These Bachmann Slope-Sided 16 Ton Mineral Wagons were specially commissioned by Rob personally and hand weathered by me, for use on British 00 gauge layout Farland, in the US! Hope you enjoy this video of the wagons being transferred from my layout and be sure to click on the link at the end to see the wagons arriving at the destination in Farland. Hope you enjoy!
