Santa was very good this year and as well as a Class 156 then a couple of wagons as well to add to the roster. First run out at Glasgow Feb 2019.

They seem to get knocked about abit so will have a go at more vigorous wear and tear on this one.

Last of the Xmas presents to go through the weathering process. Will join the existing 2 pair of wagons to create a heavy haul stone train once dummy loads are made

Another cold day so lungs not working too well. It’s a good job never smoked! But opportunity to clear up the modelling desk and run in the Real Track 156 that Santa left at Christmas. Will take opportunity of adding driver and some passengers before purchasing the necessary decoders at the Pontefract Show this coming weekend. Then will be running on Troutons at Glasgow in late Feb

Finished weathering the Freightliner wagons. This pair will make the total rake of wagons to 3 pairs so a useful medium sized train to fit in the smaller loops of the fiddleyard and i reckon will be seen heading off down the industrial branch for spot loads.

As previously posted Troutons is due to be replaced in November 2021 with a new modern image layout built on a similar sized footprint. Disposal of Troutons is now something the team has to consider. Currently the layout will be at Glasgow Feb , Perth Green March, Spalding Nov 2019 with Wakefield Nov 2020. if anyone is interested in booking the layout or making an offer for Troutons please come and see team members at these shows or contact the club via [email protected]

That might be an unfortunate choice, that shed.

if you google images of it it has a big 37 on the end of the number

Ah Yeap you are indeed correct, I wondered why I had not finished it before and that is the reason. Best get out the decals. Having to be re numbered in thevfirst place as someone else in the team has the original numbered one.

hey ho

Redone as 66730 this time. Hope to pick up Whitemoor plates at Doncaster Show or failing that at Glasgow.

Visited Doncaster Show and picked up a couple of Cambrian kits so looks like the steel train will be lengthening a little more. No plates for 66730 though as Shawplan do not do whitemoor at the moment

Hi, just seen you need a set of "Whitemoor" etched plates unbelievable I've just listed a set on ebay tonight. If they are any good let me know.

First trip north of Leeds for the layout to Glasgow and had a super 3 days running trains. Very pleased with the comments received from the visiting public and of course being awarded 3rd place in the non association layouts section was the icing on the cake. Many thanks to the organisers of the show for inviting the team for their hospitality and organisation of the show. Good to catch up with the Aberdeen crew and excellent to see so much interest being shown in their winning layouts. Let’s hope the wave of interest generated by Series 1 increases membership of all clubs up and down the country.

Yes Troutons did have For Sale notices on it at Glasgow and the asking price for everything that is glued down including lighting pelmet etc is much less than people thought it would be, the reason is simple we would prefer the layout, baseboards to have another use rather than be broken up for track and bits etc. The money raised will be put straight back into the next modern image project construction of which starts in March.
