RMweb Gold westerhamstation Posted August 3, 2014 RMweb Gold Share Posted August 3, 2014 Hi George, that looks really good, especially the block work in the centre of the track, all the best Adrian.

tender
Hi George, Like the slabs but how do you make sure there's enough depth for the wheel flanges? I used a track roller gauge on CQ with the DAZ clay infill but it still needed a bit of scraping out to ensure locos still ran smoothly without loosing electrical contact. Ray. Ray, I recon that bit will be wagons only, but your right it still needs to be deep enough. Hope you and Polly are well. Bodge.
georgeT
Hello Ray, Good point ? No its as Andy says while it was drying l kept running a coal wagon over it, but as no loco will ever go there l should get away with it ? George
georgeT
Hello Adrian / Bob, Yes l must say l'm pleased with the way it turned out, all l did was use some square brass tube from my scrap box of different sizes to press the detail in. georgeT
Well have built the second part of the brewery, and added the canopy, need to make some supports along the front, also added a chimney to the lmp shed, the brewery is not fixed, just put in place to see what it looks like
Jock67B
Blimey George, at this rate you'll have it completed by the weekend, then you can try to sell it to Bodge to give him something to play with while he waits for the shed to be built! Seriously, great work as usual, Kind regards, Jock.
Andrew P
Morning mate, I'm with Jock, that is seriously great work. Its a real Exhibition contender and I'm sure once you retire you will be in demand. Bodge.
georgeT
Morning Andy / Jock, Thanks, the canopy looks rather big, but in pictures l have seen they were big , l think when painted it will look a lot smaller ?, as it looks like a big white elephant at the mo, what l am pleased with is using lots of offcuts l have had for years, and now my drawers are empty (not the pink ones) hahahaha George
georgeT
Just had to paint the roof to see if it looked better, and it does to me, added some brass supports to hold the weight of the canopy as it became very heavy as l glued a solid metal bar under it to stop any warping....
