Hi buddy

that is some garage buddy. Looks like I might have to go EM :swoon:

You can dip your toe in the water now without having to build your own track as the society has it's own ready to lay track. However I love track building and building your own is way way cheaper than buying it ready made. You still have to change the wheels of course but unlike P4 you don't need springing or compensation. I've just returned to EM as 00 just wasn't doing it for me.

Regards Lez.

Hi Mike,

Great to see progress again for Walton on the Hill, the layout and your garage looks really impressive.

Did your coal train for Clarence dock have to reverse at Huskisson? Curious as to how the train would have been sorted by MDHB, were there sidings on the dock road?

Best regards,

Late crest rather than the early version and with AWS symbols, here's my 47201 in EM gauge, on John Elliott's 'Leeds City North' last Saturday.

And John Ward’s notes for the day, ph next to the number means he took a photo.

Very neat and accurate spotting notes - if only mine were such, just a scrawl of numbers !!

Michael Delamar, I also wish to build a model railway based on Walton triangle as I used to live in Crescent road which backs on to the CLC line. My earliest memory of seeing a steam train is when I was taken in a push chair to watch the trains go by at Hartleys bridge. I am sure I saw a Black 5 go past. With my friends we used to play around the seven sisters and watch the freight trains going towards Walton tunnel no 1.

The date could have been 1968. So I too have an interest in Liverpool particularly Walton.
