Many an accident was caused by people thinking that reversing made things made things shorter.....

Many things made shorter by reversing when inappropriate . . .

The extension begins. Two baseboard frames constructed today. Hopefully, I'll match them up to the existing boards in the next couple weeks when I can make some space.

Bigger isn't better....micro layouts is where the future is....!

I am going to have to adjust my focus, as I had thought that models were considerably smaller than the full size versions.   :jester:

There’s nothing better than a big layout. Allows for really great running at exhibitions. Nothing more fun for me than a full rake express running at scale line speed.

I agree but some operators run hsts at hs1 speeds! Was going to say hs2 northern Y speeds but that may be zero?

Agreed and that's the beauty of N Gauge, full length rakes in smaller spaces :P:P

Mick's eyesight isn’t what it once was…

Trying to read loco numbers to key into the controller at shows is bad enough…imagine if they were half as big!

The extension board is now in place.

A little bit of work is needed to level the outer edges before tracklaying begins.

Partial demolition of the bridge is tonight's task. (It will be relocated later albeit in modified form.

Then I'll mark out the new track and buildings.
