Extraneous low-angle light from outside; I forgot to close the garage door. On the other hand, it could be one of those blue under-car lights so beloved of boy- racers.

I use a Derwent Graphitint White 24 pencil, which be available from any artists' supplier worthy of the name. Here are some more examples including the real thing. Popular Post 81A Oldoak
I have weathered the GWR Match Truck converted from a Minerva RTR OPEN A. Here it is on Cwm Bach including a photo of the wagon with the over-hanging timber load that started all the fuss. I'm rather pleased with it, but may add some garnish in the form of a couple of timber baulks and some coiled rope. Regards, Chris K

Popular Post 81A Oldoak
Latest off the workbench is this Minerva Peckett E that I have weathered for a client. The brief was for a worn, but relatively clean superstructure. I used my favourite method for clean engines of polishing the cleaned areas with T-Cut and cotton buds, followed by a very gentle spray with an airbrush of a sooty colour on the top surfaces. The nameplates are Narrow Planet and the crew figures are ModelU painted by Claudia Everett. Regards, Chris K 25

Popular Post 81A Oldoak
Manning Wardle KING GEORGE (a Minerva conversion) prepares to go off shed for the start of the day's shift. Evans-the-Shed seems to have spotted something between the rails or, more likely, is still feeling the after-effects of the celebrations following Wales thrashing Scotland (again) at The Arms Park. Popular Post 81A Oldoak
Huw Morgan, the porter at Cwm Bach, tries to come to terms with what would later be described as the white heat of technology. W25W has replaced the regular 64XX autotrain, which has failed. Number 6437 faces a major overhaul to find the fault and The district superintendent does not know when she will return to service.
