It looks similar to TouchCab, but uses a Windows phone as opposed to an iPhone. Apologies if this has been raised before but a search of the forum didn't find it, so I'm assuming it hasn't. GoingUnderground Posted January 13, 2015 Author Share Posted January 13, 2015 I've resurrected this topic, as late last year new versions of tablets using Windows 8.1 came on to the market, such as the Linx range http://www.linx-tablets.com/ I bought one myself as it was on offer at a bargain price before Christmas on ebay. Works just like a Windows 7 PC when you get to the desktop. The trial version of the Windows Phone app ECoS Cab won't download on to the tablet, but the ECoS Cab web site, http://ecoscab.at.ua/, shows that there a version of the app for the Windows 8.1 tablets under development. I contacted the developer, Konstantin Kolesnik this week to find out if he still had plans to release the app. Here is his reply: The app tablet version is almost done at the moment. What it lacks (comparing to phone version) is user groups of locomotives and accessories. I was planning to release the app after completing this part. But now I think I could add this functionality later in the nearest consequent release. So if there is an interest in tablet version I would release it very soon. Regards, Konstantin. So if, like me, you are interested in the Windows 8.1 tablet version, post on here, or tell Konstantin that you are interested in it by contacting him direct using the "Contact Us" part of his web site http://ecoscab.at.ua/ I would imagine that the app would be paid for, the same as the Windows Phone version. I have no connection with Konstantin, the Linx tablet importers/distributors, Microsoft, or ESU. I'm just a long time ECoS user who would like to be able to use ECoS Cab on my Windows 8.1 tablet and am simply trying to get ECoS users who haven't already jumped on the Apple bandwagon to express an interest in ECoS Cab for Windows 8.1 tablets to encourage Konstantin to release the tablet version of the app. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

I have a good news - I decided to finish and release a Windows 8.1 (Windows Store) version of the app. App will have both paid and free versions. First release will be without support of user groups of locomotives/accessories, I'll finish them later. Also I plan to release the app versions for iPhone and Android in the future as well. I'm glad to get any feedback from app users. Those of you who wants to be a beta-testers please email me through the app web site Contact Us form providing your LiveID email address. For download please go to http://apps.microsoft.com/windows/en-us/app/ECoS-cab/eeea527a-d305-461f-a8b6-c00cf54750be Windows 8.1 app version 1.0 has all the same functionality as the latest Windows Phone app version 2.2: - multiple command stations profiles; - auto reconnect after connection lost; - command station summary; - command station power control; - items statistics; - adjustable memory for recently used locomotives/accessories; - categories of Favorites for locomotives/accessories; - locomotives/accessories groups; - locomotive/accessory control, editing and information; - locomotive capturing; - locomotive movement adjustment; - up to 29 locomotive functions; - feedback sensors monitorig and editing (beta); - RSS page with application news and development blog updates; - save/restore profiles within account and to/from OneDrive; - user groups of locomotives/accessories; Please see all supported features and full/trial versions comparison at http://ecoscab.at.ua/index/versions_comparison/0-4 The application is available for free for those users who already bought the Windows Phone app version.
