RMweb Premium Barry O Posted September 7, 2019 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted September 7, 2019 After a long journey to Swindon layout unpacked and erected. À bit of woodwork was required as a baseboard leg had neen left behind in Leeds. One point motor switch had failed.. now replaced. Other faults mainly operator error. Roll on day 2. RMweb Premium Barry O Posted December 23, 2019 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted December 23, 2019 It has been a busy year. We have lots to do with some trackwork to be fettled and the signals to be made operational. The signals will be servo driven as I am giving up on Weissman motors 4 of 6 didnt work when I bought them) More stock has been built/acquired including a model of Seahorse..a regular visitor to chapel. Have a good Festive Season! Next Shows include: York at Easter, Club Open Day in May, Wigan Baz 3

RMweb Premium Barry O Posted September 13, 2020 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted September 13, 2020 Long time no catch ups. Another Clubroom move in January ( our 7th since starting the layout!) has the seen the layout re-erected but we are not using the clubrooms at the moment. Work progresses converting the Weismann driven (or rather non driven!) signals to servo drive.. ready to fit two back on the layout but need to collect the remaining ones to add servos. Lots more stock (coaches, wagons and locos) have appeared over lock down. We should have been at York and Wigan this year. Obviously this hasn't happened. Pah! more Black 5s... and 4Fs and some coaches Maroon and Blood and custard Baz

RMweb Premium Barry O Posted November 10, 2020 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted November 10, 2020 Just before "Lockdown 2" Imanaged to get to the club rooms. They are OK. The layout has a very small amount of dust on it.. I removed one of the two signals for servo- driving. Just need to get the servos ready and check that they all work. RMweb Premium Barry O Posted April 5, 2021 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted April 5, 2021 Visits to the Clubroom is limited to checks by the Trustees. While water has dripped through the ceiling none so far on Chapel. Not sure when the layout will be on show next.. York and Wigan last year were cancelled..Bristol has been delayed.. so fingers crossed the layout willl be out and about again in the future.
