Thanks. I hope members have enjoyed browsing and reading Journal 4/17.

The next issue, 5/17 September/October, is well advanced and is effectively a 'layout' issue with many featured. Having just returned from holiday I had to get much of it in place before I went away to leave only some tidying up and adding the news and review section for the next few weeks.

Having spent most of yesterday helping Steve operate Lymebrook yard. It's an amazing layout in such a small space, so I'm looking forward to reading your right up on the layout.

Yes, it's a great exmple of what can be achieved in a small space.

The 'article' isn't so much a detailed write up, but a photo feature to showcase the layout - I hope you won't be disappointed. However, if someone could provide a full authoritative text and more photos then I'd be happy to publish that in a future issue.

Thanks for the comments and feedback.

I'm already cracking on with the next (and the one after that) issue. There's no rest and all contributions are welcome. It'd be good to have a bank of submissions to choose from.

Cheers.

I hope people enjoyed the recent issue of the Journal and special leaflet about modelling details included with it.

It's now just three weeks to the next issue copy deadline for any letters and news. Articles will have to wait for a later issue but letters, comment and feedback is welcome for 1/18.

Progress on the next issue (1/18) has been going well. I've got all the features and articles in place and now starting to slowly fill up the news & reviews and letters sections. Then it'll be sorting out the adverts and putting together the Newsletter as soon as committee members get their reports to me.

That's just reminded me, that my renewal is due

Renewals (and joining) can be done on-line at: www.ngsjoin.com/ with payment by credit/debit card and PayPal.

At just £16 a year it is great value. Not only do you get access to the Society benefits and the range of exclusive wagon kits and growing number of RTR models, but you get six Journals and Newsletters a year through the post. And, if you assume you get no other benefits of membership, that works out at less than £2.70 per issue including UK postage.

Arrived today. Really enjoyed this edition so far. A special shout out for the research article on West Wycombe station by Tim Cooney. Very well written and researched and, as someone who lives less than a mile away from the subject matter, I really appreciated it! Who is going to build the layout? :-)
