Ardlui station drawings

Good afternoon,

I have recently returned to the hobby and I would like to model a Scottish station in the diesel era. I was wondering if anybody could provide me with some scale drawings for the Ardlui station buildings, especially the little waiting shelter.

I am also after pictures of the signal mans cottage situated near to the railway as I plan to scratchbuild a structure like this.

I am also keen to learn how to recreate the platform surface if anybody has any tips!?

Thanks very much for your time,

Jon

Hi Jon

Drawings have appeared in Railway Modeller from time to time.

Have a look at March 1974 and March 2004 for generic drawings.

If you cannot obtain copies, PM me with your email address as I may be able to help.

Regards.

As promised after a quick delve, sorry but garage is a pigsty currently with full size wagon bits! From memory Ian Futers used Ardlui as the basis for Glen Falloch.

I thought the signal box was burnt down before the buildings were demolished. Only visited once during an SRPS Railtour passing stop from Edinburgh to Mallaig and back in one day! Pint at Mallaig and fish and chips at Fort William were the only significant stops.

Must have more some where a bouts!
