Good evening folks

I am after a spot of assistance regarding the two ex lms breakdown coaches based at buxton in the 1980's and stored there until removal for scrap in the early 2000's.

Here are a few of links to the two coaches in question...

Can anybody tell me what the origins of these coaches are, I know they are LMS but what period? and are there any suitable RTR coaches in 00 gauge that would lend themselves to conversion?

Hopefully you clever people out there can help me in my quest...

Thanks

Mike

If you type the number (without prefix) into the search box on departmentals.com, it gives you limited details including previous identity.

e.g. http://www.departmentals.com/search.php?searchValue=395480&btn=

shows it was previously M6624M, which is a start.

Somewhere I've got an old departmentals book, with more details. Give me a day or two.

Hi mate.

Thanks, all help greatly appreciated. I had spotted the number M6624M so its just a case of matching that up with similar coaches...

Hi Mike

The old Airfix or Dapol coaches would be best, if you can pick up a pair of secondhand ones to work on or use the Dapol LMS period 3 coach kits.

You will need to clad the sides with new plastic card ones. File off the door handles etc. Where new window and doors are cut out these out before adding the new sides.
