Hi, it was good to see Tidworth at Barnstaple yesterday, enjoyed seeing the variety of stock you have. It was a bit of a shame that the layout opposite drowned out your sound effects....

Thanks for the info on the Duha 'big bags' as well, I think they could serve as UKF fertilizer loads :)

Well they do on Tidworth Rich.

Thanks for your comments fella but you're right about the sounds opposite, a damn nuisance especially the class 20 when you've already got a headache like I did!

Hi Ian,

Been following your layout since meeting you at BescotBeast's Pendeford Sidings. Was never expecting to get to see the layout in the flesh, so finding out that you are coming to Uckfield came as a great surprise, I'm a director of Uckfield MRC so will be there both days and I really look forward to seeing you there.

Hi Ian,

Great to meet you, Paul and Tidworth yesterday. The quality of the layout is outstanding and truly inspirational especially as I'm planning that same NSE period. Also apologies for the prototypical failure of 50031 (sound wise), the walks did me good though :) If you ever need a helper when exhibiting down this way then feel free to give me a shout, may have the 4TC kit built by then. :)

Hi Gary

I was hoping that perhaps you and Simon might come and help out with the operating for a bit, just hadn't got around to asking yet! ;)

Evening all

Just a quick update on the Thumper saga.................

All three cars lined up minus underframes. Just a couple of bits to finish with the small brush again (every time I look I notice something else!) plus the grilles need some matt black. Next will be gloss varnish followed by decals then matt varnish and reassemble, we're getting there!

The pics aren't too flattering away from the unit's natural environment of Tidworth but just thought I'd post my finished effort nearly two years after it's inception. Once I get Tidworth up to play again soon I'm sure the 3H will feature heavily in pics of the layout!

Right now that's over where did I put those warflats???

Very nice ,

I used to hear the Swindon raikway version from my house until some arsehats set fire to it !

Thanks Rob but I think the noisy bit wasn't affected and they've acquired another trailer coach for it so all is not lost.
