ScottW
Hello Gentleman, I have attached a picture and was hoping someone more knowledgeable than me could help me identify any of the coaches in the train? I don't have a great deal of knowledge of coaches so any help would be greatly appreciated. I believe the first coach is a BR Mk1, of which type I'm not sure. The next three coaches I suspect may be Stanier coaches but again I don't know of what type. The rest of the train looks like it could be made up of a mixture of Mk1's and Stanier's. Thanks in advanced. Scott
robertcwp
The image quality is not very good so it's not easy to identify the stock after the first few carriages. The first one is a Mark I SK followed by what looks like a 7-bay open second (formerly third) then a porthole BSK followed by an LMS CK then a Mark I CK. The photo dates from no earlier than mid-1956 so carriages are second class not third.
Poor Old Bruce
The underframes of the 6th to 10th coaches suggest LMS types and the 11th another Mk1.
ScottW
Thanks guys. I was hoping to build a train based on the picture. I'm not a coach person, my interest lies more with locomotives, so the extra information is very much appreciated.
