Coach bogie
No idea where it had been - a pair of Watco, WRB2174 and WRA004 tow narrow gauge One Rail livery GWN001 towards Brisbane through Chelmer.14/3/24.
Coach bogie
Saga of Pacific National 8314, with MOVEMBER moustache. February 1st 8314 had been tripped from Redbank Works to Tennyson container base waiting to be transported back to Gladstone via a north bound container train. By February 22nd 8341 was being returned south, back to Redbank Works in a Tennyson bound container train hauled by PN010 approaching Sherwood. by March 1st the problems appear resolved as 83i4 is returned north for the second time in a month seen departing Sherwood behind PN007 Mike Wiltshire
DavidB-AU
With the demise of the V/Line H sets, four N class locos have been leased to SSR and are now hauling grain. Interestingly, V/Line first toyed with the idea of using them for freight in the early 90s. The proposal was to use them as second or third unit between Melbourne and Adelaide to provide head end power for refrigerated containers. This would have made better use of the loco (sometimes a pair) that sat idle in Adelaide all day between duties on the Overland. 4
Coach bogie
Newly rebuilt QR, low emissions 2904 and 2906, the latter yet to receive final livery, out on test, going through Graceville. 19.3.24 Not best view - they took me by surprise! 2903 Hauling 'Westlander' through Sherwood a few days later. 2902 appeared on the 15th. Livery variations going on here for a small class. Mike Wiltshire Edited April 5 by Coach bogie

QRModeller
I’m not 100% certain on this and am happy to be corrected, but I believe only one loco is actually in use when hauling the Westie, the second is there as a backup in case of a breakdown once they’re beyond Toowoomba. Willowburn is the only depot on the Western Line now, save a couple of refuelling points at major stations, and it’s a 615km (382 mile) journey between T’ba and Charleville with the trip timetabled to take 12 hours, so it’d be an awfully long wait for a replacement loco to arrive should one be needed! 1
Coach bogie
Sometimes 'The Westlander' only has one loco, but it is rare. This time Brisbane is being reached by the less direct, Tennyson loop route which happens from time to time. Mike Wiltshire

DavidB-AU
The 2900s are also used on infrastructure trains. This one includes the steam loco water tank which is going to Toowoomba for use behind the C17.
