Jol Wilkinson
It comes back to the format the etcher uses/can accept. I've submitted tens of artwork files over a fourteen year period to two well known etching companies who specify CorelDraw as one of their file formats (they also list AutoCad dwg, dfx, Illustrator and EPS). Very early on I started to produce oven ready artwork ready for printing. That way I know any c*ck ups are mine. As Richard suggests, I discussed what I was doing with the etcher in the early days so that I got to understand what's needed, what works, etc.
