steve1
Excellent little show and thanks to Ian for the invite. Layout ran well and was appreciated. Good to meet up with fellow RMWwebber and fine music fan, Jamiell too! Look out for next year's exhibition, 3rd September. steve

steve1
Just spent a useful couple of hours fettling the layout ready for the Ebor Exhibition on 20th and 21st February. It was those little irritating things that go with wear and tear and hadn't got round to before, like soldering dodgy rail connectors an giving the track a good clean and Hoover. Glad I did them now and not at the last minute! steve
steve1
Two shows, Ebor and Lincoln, on successive weekends. Hard work but fun really. Big thanks to Mally for the soldering yesterday! steve

steve1
Thought I would blow the dust off this thread to show the layout's next outing. It will be at The York Show over Easter so if you are there, come and say hello. steve
johnb
Probably an idea to dust off the thread title, it's now 2017! Doubt I'll be getting to York though, have fun! Kindest regards John

steve1
Spent an hour or so fettling the layout this pm to the sound of Split by The Groundhogs on the ghetto blaster. Bit more greenery added (it grows you know), cleaned the track and did some test running. This showed up a disconnected wire on the sector plate, which was quickly sorted. Must get a proper nameplate sorted before it's next show, which is Mansfield on the first weekend in March. steve

luke the train spotter
This layout is a fantastic example of a simple and compact track plan modelled very well. I'm very pleased that I've found this thread as I've seen this layout at a couple shows and its been nice to see something different and be able to see the construction stages of the layout.
steve1
Courtesy of that splendid chap Tim Horn and his laser cutting machine, the layout now has proper name board. Very impressed with the quality and would happily recommend his work to anyone. steve 3

steve1
Just in case anyone was under the impression I am an armchair modeller, here’s a pic of DM2 at Caistor earlier today. It will be there tomorrow too. steve
Woody C
Had the pleasure of attending the Caistor show this afternoon and very impressed and in particular with your layout Steve. Never seen it before but there is something that just makes it work so well with quality modelling that brought me back three or four times. Many thanks for exhibiting it, certainly provided me with some ideas. Woody
Smoking gun
I too saw this layout at Caistor, on Sunday, nice to see some small additions since I last saw it several years ago at a Cleethorpes show. A well made layout with plenty of operational interest, the sector plate worked very well. Martin
