Watford and District Model Railway Club   http://watfordmrc.org/

Club house on the Watford Bushey border

Hi Hayfield, this area group is predominantly for Kent, Surrey and Sussex based members - Watford is a bit "out of district" sorry.

  Sorry

I saw South East (as we are in the South East) without looking at your map, cannot remove reply so changed the message.

You've already got Surrey Area Group of the 7mm Narrow Gauge Association, so well done!

We've got fabulously elastic borders, currently stretching to include members in Kent, West Sussex, East Sussex, Hampshire, Buckinghamshire and ... Cornwall!

Might be worth suggesting as a topic in itself, expanding beyond this area and organising in regions or counties to make searching easier?

I don't know if it's worth fully duplicating the information already available via UKModelshops (although I can understand why some would prefer to stay on one site rather than going elsewhere) or a simple Google search but it may be a useful feature to the site.  The difficulty of course is maintaining it as invariably contacts change and clubs come and go, and they forget to or simply don't know everywhere it is mentioned.

However, one thing is fairly apparent from our three south eastern counties - there are many active model clubs and it is a very healthy scene.

Brighton MRC duly added to the list, thanks Nestor.

No one seems to have mentioned Carshalton &Sutton MRC.

Find them at www.csrmc.co.uk
