doctor quinn
Thanks for posting those, the last one has an interesting mix of wagons. I think the first two are Phoenix cement wagons (as modelled by Roco) then an interesting mix of slide side vans including the short ones modelled by Kleinbahn & Roco. You're right about the green livery on the Mh being old but DSB works tended to touch up the paintwork on locos rather than a full repaint. I just noticed the My in the middle pic seems to have the newer exhaust silencer without any of the other rebuild details - interesting. doctor quinn
Since my last post I've been working on another refirbished MY, this time a Heljan one. The starting point A previous owner had hacked off the flanges from the centre wheels so I decided to rewheel with Black Beetle RP25 wheelsets. I've also started redetailing the body for a rebuilt loco (probaly 1125 in late 90's condition http://www.jernbanen.dk/motor_solo.php?s=8&lokid=150) Nick
doctor quinn
The MY mechanism is reassembled and runs nicely on the new wheels, the bogie retaining clip broke during re-assembly so I had to make a replacement from Evergreen styrene shapes. It has also acquired a full set of grabs and handrails though I haven't started on the end platforms yet. Progress has slowed a little while I source some Cannon & Co roof fans, I hadn't intended to but someone on another forum suggested it and they do look nice. I've been lucky to have some wagon bargains come my way, the first was a Roco Tdgrrs covered hopper set which davep101 found for me on a Facebook site - much appleciated Dave. The other find on a well-know internet auction site was a brace of Jouef Eaos wagons which I've stripped and redetailed as Swedish Green Cargo examples. The GC ones were acquired second-hand from DBAG so I changed the end bracing to match German built wagons, the very nice etched ferry tie-downs are by 51L/Wizard and the buffer by AMF87 in France, wheels are 10.5mm disc by Gibson. doctor quinn
A recent addition to the Industrivej fleet, acquired cheaply off a certain auction site, it's a Roco Gos van than I've updated with DBAG decals and new numbers by Andreas Nothaft along with a typically 90's patchwork paint job. doctor quinn
The Jouef Eaos wagons are finished, although some further research on Dybas and Stinsen.com caused a change of plan. The reinforced ends that I have modelled were a feature of the wagons that DB retained, the GC wagons had the type on the models, so they're in DB livery with custom decals from Andreas Nothaft. I've also completed a couple of trucks for the warehouse, Herpa Volvo F10s with Skilteskoven decals Nick Edited December 18, 2016 by doctor quinn
swisspeat
Very nice modelling. The paint finish on the lorries is particularly good. Far better than the high gloss finish they usually come in. Good detailing on them too. Peter
doctor quinn
Thanks Peter, I used Vallejo paints and satin varnish on the trucks.

doctor quinn
Progress has slowed a little while I source some Cannon & Co roof fans, I hadn't intended to but someone on another forum suggested it and they do look nice. OK - progess slowed a lot while I had them on back order but I picked them up from the Post Office today. Meanwhile the appearance by Zlata Vychod at Nottingham later this months has spurred me on to finish davep101's Santa Fe Nohab. doctor quinn
Post Nottingham Show I've been making progress on the wagon fleet including a Lgmns container wagon; DSB converted 100 from Gs vans in 1988. This one started out as a Roco van and now has a scratch built body. I've also painted a couple more Eaos scrap wagons,an SBB one from a Liliput model and a Green Cargo one from Lima with AMF87 cast white metal SBB Green Cargo Industrivej's next outing is at the Scandinavian Railway Society AGM in Derby followed by the Globalrail on 21st May http://www.grs-uk.org/events.htm Edited March 30, 2017 by doctor quinn
RMweb Premium Ian Morgan Posted April 4, 2017 RMweb Premium Share Posted April 4, 2017 Looking forward to seeing this at GlobalRail in Didcot. I will be stewarding, and probably pointing my video camera at layouts (which usually magically causes derailments and all sorts of other problems). doctor quinn
Thanks Ian, I'm Oakington forward to the show myself. In the meantime the Swedish Eaos is coming along (SJ not Green Cargo now that I've looked at the decals) All the best Nick
Stedahult
A long time since i have been here. My compliments for your layout. In Sweden they also have rented the B-cargo eanos. It has th S/GC mark instead of SJ. I saw that you already have one of those. From van Biervliet? You used the switch handels from Epoke, Per stopt with Epoke since last march. For better switsh handels, you can buy now the once from Dekas. Ordering can using Facebook at Godstoget hobby in Sæby. This month in CM an artikel of my old Danish layout. In march 2018 my new one "Et stykke af Odsherreds" will be finished en showed to the public in Holland. A singel track layout situated in the 1930's and 1940's. And typical Danish landscaping. Do what your doing, i like your layout very much! Mvh Steef
doctor quinn
Hi Steef, thanks for the comments and the tip about Dekas, I got some MY steps from Per last year, does anyone else make them? The Eaos is a bit of a fudge, it still has B-Cargo markings. It's a Kleinmodellbahn one that I got cheaply at a show. I got CM this month, Sonder Omme looks great, I was really impressed with your buildings. From the name is the new layout based on the OHJ? doctor quinn
After last weekend's frivolities Industivej has a bus service! I picked up a Mercedes city bus from Contikits at the Derby show on Sunday, which I've repainted. To be honest it's really a stand-in as I suspect a DAB body on a Volvo or Leyland chassis would be more appropriate. As I haven’t said exactly where Industivej is, I went for overall yellow with a fairly generic destination though the colour scheme does rule out Aarhus. Thanks Mikkel , the photo warehouse interior isn't original, I got the idea from West Allen and Thorne by Dan Beresford. http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/96832-west-allen-street-thawne-extension-5-harrison-yard/ I'm glad that it captures the era, a lot of that is down to Allan Stovring-Neilsen excellent series of books - highly recommended for anyone into Danish railfreight. Stedahult
Yes Nick, OHJ in de mid 30's and early 50's. Thanks for the compliment on the CM article. My wife and me are proud of that. Later this year our Swedish layout 'Midsommar på Högskogen" will also appear in CM. The new layout is much larger, and can be followed on FaceBook. All my layout's are on that page. Including a Polish one in 0e. Best regards, Steef https://www.facebook.com/Stedahults-creations-396338607409796/

Grizz
Hi All. This is such a great thread. Really enjoying looking at the photos of the layout with all the little details. Over the last 25 years I have had an interest in Danish Railways, my wife is Danish and we visit family in Jutland at least twice a year. Most rail freight in Nordjylland (North Jutland), what little of it there is these days, moves at night. Our family told us that there is a 'runs as required' freight that heads either north or south bound on either a Monday or a Tuesday morning and passes through Skørping, between 10:00 and 12:00 in the morning. Mostly they have noted it going south. So this morning my son and I showed up at Skørping station at 10:00 to see if anything turned up. At 10:09 my son was standing on the over bridge and clocked a DB (exDSB) registered, MZ 1453, on a container train, slowing as it approached the station heading north. It came to a stand at the north bound platform starter signal. The photos below are from video I took. Such a great loco. Please can anyone help with any 'Gen' on the workings of these freight trains. We will be back here soon and would love to know if they start in Aalborg or else where. I suspect that they head south to Padborg. We can find them in Aalborg if that's where it goes.
doctor quinn
Hi Grizz, Thanks for posting the pics and the compliments, I recall that fish meal was shipped from Skagen in block container trains and I wonder if that's what 1453 was working. I have found one news site for Danish railways http://www.railorama.dk/ There are a few YouTube posters who are very active, this morning I was watching a clip of an MK shunting the IB Andresen steel terminal at Vejle Harbour yesterday https://www.youtube.com/user/JeKd100 https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC-rXVPap9Wvj-4O_AS4sZaA https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCtW4RA8TWxmVmg1UGqMknRA I'm definitely a fan of the MZ though the MZ IVs are showing their age a little now. I have a Tog & Tekno Kit for one which has been making slow progress since well before I started Industrivej. 1460 working for Railion in Esbjerg in about 2001 I've also realised that I didn't post a pic of finished the SBB Eaos wagon All the best Nick
