RMweb Gold Market65 Posted January 26, 2020 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 26, 2020 Hi, Dave. I like the Tanfield Railway photo’s which are fascinating and show what a varied collection of stock the railway had some thirty years ago. The last photo’, of the Causey Arch, on the 28th May, 1990, is, as previously stated, a stunning view, and I’m sure it would make a great painting. The Scottish photo’s are delightful, and show how things have changed over the years. In C11535, of Blair Atholl, on the 15th October, 1988, you can see just what a delightful station building that is, and set in some lovely Scottish scenery. With warmest regards, Rob.

RMweb Gold Market65 Posted January 27, 2020 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 27, 2020 Hi, Dave. I like the Tyne and Wear Metro photo’s which are full of interest. I particularly like J7677, of Gateshead with two unidentified units on the QE2 bridge, in August, 1982. It shows that we can still design bridges when we try hard. RMweb Gold Market65 Posted January 28, 2020 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 28, 2020 Hi, Dave. I like the York photo’s, which, as always, are full of interest and nostalgia. In J9050, with 43092 on a Kings Cross to Edinburgh express in July, 1987, you can see how the track layout was prior to the rationalisation that followed fairly soon after the photo’ was taken. dvdlcs
C8681 - 4 wheel CCT. Looks like it is still in mainline, as opposed to departmental or internal, use too. Won't have been for much longer after that I would've thought. Don't suppose you can ID it from the original picture? EDIT: Seems like it was an IU, from comments below. I read the number as 94... others consider it 04... Edited January 30, 2020 by dvdlcs Updated information below.

RMweb Gold Market65 Posted January 29, 2020 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 29, 2020 Hi, Dave. I like the Yorkshire photo’s which are all full of interest. In C7271, at Garforth, on Monday, 23rd December, 1985, you have captured those bridges perfectly, with the contrasting designs complimenting each other very well. It was the same colours as were used on buses in the area. The newer red and cream was much nicer though. 1
