Good evening, David. What an excellent selection of photo’s from the Southern Region of BR. The final two are delightful, and in JVol4028, at London Victoria, the Battle of Britain, 34074, 46 Squadron, on a Dover Marine to Victoria express in 1952, looks superb as it makes it’s entrance to the station. That’s an interesting sign too, which reads, ‘Enginemen are requested to use sand as sparingly as possible when leaving this station’. I wonder if that would be in relation to the slipping the Spam Cans were notorious for?

With warmest regards,

 Rob.

Good evening, David. That’s an excellent set of photo’s of the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway. In C4612, at New  Romney, with RHDR, 7, Typhoon, in  July, 1979, the composition of the photo’ makes the engine look most imposing.
The Blyth and Tyne from Winning to North Blyth photo’s are all excellent, and in the forth photo’, with Deltic 55022,Royal Scots Grey, climbing to North Blyth, with an Alcan Lynemouth to North Blyth train on the 11 April, 2011, you can see, thanks to a zoomed view, the trackwork is very ‘hilly’.

With warmest regards,

 Rob.

Good evening, David. First I’m glad you are okay, for I too was getting a bit concerned after it got to 6.00 p.m.,

Well, the ECML photo’s from Northumberland are all truly excellent, and the first one, at Acklington, with a class 56 on a down coal train, in June, 1993, is a lovely example of a ‘train in the landscape’.

With warmest regards,

 Rob.

David

Think that Deltic was on hire to the place at the time? Was it Purple?

Good evening, David. That’s a most excellent set of Morpeth photo’s. In J9593, your Dad has captured a delightful scene with 31284, shunting a very short train in July, 1988. Exactly what most modellers should be able to fit in on their layouts.

With warmest regards,

 Rob.

Sorry to hear about your Mum David, I know when my Mum was bad, that took priority, as it quite rightly should, so PLEASE don't ever feel pressured to post if other things need doing.

Meant to say, excellent set of pics as always young man.:good:

Good afternoon, David. I’m very sorry about your Mum and I hope she can improve very quickly. I hope you don’t feel pressured into posting all these excellent photo’s each day. But thank you for the photo’s you have been able to post, including today’s. I’m glad you have got your computer and hard drive problems resolved.
Today’s photo’s are excellent, and interesting to see the treatment of the lights and horns on 91018, on a down express, in C20988, at Ferryhill Junction, on the 31st May, 1996.

With very best wishes,

Rob.
