RMweb Gold Captain Kernow Posted September 18, 2014 RMweb Gold Share Posted September 18, 2014 There has been a brief news item on the ITV West Country news saying that a web cam footage appeared to show a steam engine on fire. The Dawlish Beach Cam logo was on the footage. Just a thought and that is are not all steam engines technically on fire when in steam? Thankfully the locomotives operators have said that actually there had not been any incident and that they think it was as a result of a trick of the light with the web camera.. It did look dramatic though! WCR have had a lot of stick about this, and if anyone can let me have a still from the webcam, I'd be very grateful, please. Notwithstanding that, however, I'm satisfied having talked to them, that there was no incident at all.
mewstone
The clip is available on YouTube. If you type in "Tangmere Flaming past Dawlish Beach Cam", in the YouTube search line, hopefully that will direct you to the clip. If not the user who posted it is Dawlish Beach and you can subscribe if you want to?
