RMweb Premium newbryford Posted October 6, 2014 RMweb Premium Share Posted October 6, 2014 According to a well known info site, 57301 now carries the name "Goliath". 57306 will go into new DRS livery once it transfers south 57306 is now on RHTT duties in East Anglia, so it'll be yellow going on dirty brown before it gets a DRS makeover..... eastwestdivide
Snowplough test - presumably testing that the wheels turn and any braking equipment does its job? Rather than testing on real or manufactured snow - quick detour off the WCML to the Tamworth Snow Dome anyone?

Fairburn
I read from another website that this pair came from 40092, But don't know if this is 100% true but I know they are Class 40 bogies. Mathew The photos appear to show oval buffers to the snowplows, that'd indicate they were adapted class 40 bogies and not class 45/46. Ian

synthnut
...loving the snowploughs there. I particularly like the writing on them, do we have any hump yards left these days...?!! Or does any loose hunting go on? Glad to know that there are some of these in waiting should the white stuff arrive in serious quantity though.
