A new interesting product in RhB 1:150...

An italian small manufacturer, N-Kit, is going to produce a limited number of the RhB Sb-v container wagen (including the refrigerator container).

The model is in metal, with photoetched parts and fusions. I have touched a draft in Nuremberg last february, it is really well made; the pictures display a model not finished yet.

To ask for details / reservations:  serluke#teletu.it

It will be officially presented in Novegro ("Hobby Model Expo", Milano-Novegro) at the fair at the end of september.

I will keep you informed with fresh picts.

Cost: about 110 euro (container included)...

I think these may be out, one has shown up in my eBay search. £100 for a wagon is a bit rich for me, but they look fairly good.

Slightly odd that MDS have gone so quiet and their website down for weeks.

I’ve been adding cravings to the list! ;)

At least the MDS site is just showing an "under maintenance" page and not the dreaded 404...

I've just picked up some of their vans, and they are really nicely done.

Yes they and the loco are very good, I just found 628 for a sensible price ;)

And I found an ideal shed for my railway . . .

RHB Modellbahn have added some new 1/150 things to their site since I last looked - https://www.rhbmodellbahn.com

High side opens
A Ge2/2 steeple cab
Resin refridgerated swapbodies, decorated for Co-Op, Calanda and Spar (Aldi and RHB already sold out)

I'd been looking for a reasonably sensible way to do the Swapbodies in 1/150 - you can get nice ones in 1/160, but I'd only seen rather rough looking 3d print ones in 1/150 - have ordered several (plus a pair of aussichtswagon kits, an Sb-v and a couple of details bits...) so will  report back...

Are the green ones going to be slightly more than the standard ones or way more like the Arosa ones. I can see paying a lot more for a short Arosa set but not to build big green sets.

I do like them though but what are we getting to pull them? ;)

I do not know the price. But I think collectors will gladly pay the eventual extracosts (being a limited series)...

Just before I left the house this morning the RhB Modellbahn resin swapbodies arrived.

I'll have to check dimensions another day as I didn't bring a ruler!

Overall I think they look decent, there's an odd lip at the top (though more perceptable by feel than look,) and they might be improved by some detail painting/tidying (especially on the nose) and a coat of matt.

Interesting is the side door appears in different places and sizes, suspect that's not exactly right, but there do seem to be different builds of these things with detail differences, and I'm not sure it'd detract either way.

On the whole, good stuff. When I get chance I'll measure one...
