I do belong to a few railway groups, most are ones that people share photos of trains so the odd " I think it is 47 xxx at Neverwas Junction" " No, I think it is 47xyz at Bigtown Central" is the most heated row,

I had someone disagree with the location of one of my own pictures. :triniti:

On a similar note I once had a bloke tell me at an exhibition that he’d been actually visited the station I’d modelled. I told him it was a figment of my imagination but he insisted he’d been there!

Just spent a week in a house with an AGA, four days back and still not acclimatised to central heating.

Hi There,

I was de-acclimatised the other day when the fire I lit in the morning failed to catch and I got back to a chilly house later in the day.

Won't you need the kitchen for the motorbike meddling? I understand all the best motorbike rebuilders use the kitchen worktops.

An old friend of mine had most of an MG Metro in the front room of his house. His fiancee dumped him when he refused to get rid of it. He was a specialist at fettling engines, got banned from driving when he was clocked at 112mph by an unmarked police car on the M45 in what externally looked like a basic bottom of the range Longbridge product.

See what a decent tune can draw out of you Clive!

Obviously you weren't referring to this:

Maybe the bloke was trying to tell you that he had been in your mind.  There are some amazing drugs out there these days!

My mate named his layout after a village in Gloucestershire (sorry I cannot remember its name), on it he had a model of the bus he use to go to school on. This woman had a right go at him saying shouting "The number 58 never went through, name I cannot remember". Sod the fact it never had a station and possibly no bus service.

To tell you the truth I was going to suggest something like that but thought that’s too weird. At the time I was a student at university and got two of my mates from home to help operate it with me. Unfortunately it was the first time they’d been away from home and they’d had too much to drink and were out of their heads. Apparently everybody that day were playing with my head!

The name of my layout, a German one, was ‘Dragondorf’’, the name of some type of reagent I used to use at university. The place never existed but thought the name was ok as ‘dorf’ in German means village.

Not so young Gibbo

I am considering buying one for my own use. Before that I have to learn how to do 3D drawings. :mail:

As for changing colour of the feed-stock.....can that be done? Self coloured blood and custard coaches or Notwork Southeast toothpaste livery EMUs. :locomotive:

Adobe do a free 3D design option, I’ve not used it but brother in law recommends it.

On the other hand, she was right, the 58 didn’t go through there!

I was thinking the same thing, she must have known the 58 route well (though possibly not the same "58" portrayed by the bus) and realised it didn't serve the said layout name. Bit harsh to "have a go" over it perhaps; in our imagined world, the train service is diverted to serve the layout so why not the buses?

"Well, Great Figment is a village next to Lower Denture so in reality the 58 WOULD have served it, if it existed."

Well you certainly can’t prove it doesn’t!

Why is this bus not on a bridge?  I 'ate you Butler!

You always get one pillock who gets in the way of the photo subject and why is it always a fat bald bloke?

Just spent a couple of exciting days on car park duty. Who is daft enough to hold exhibitions on cold and windy days? Otherwise it was a good show and great to see many RMwebbers there.

Mr Dagworth was very kind and came up to man the DEMU stand , and visit Sheff Ex. He is confirmed DCC man but did say running a train of 3 DMU sets was easier on DC. I won't mention that the first train he ran was a steam loco and he broke the valve gear. All fixed so no problem.

Kalt is cold.

Thanks for having me Clive, really good to see the layout and drive trains on it.  I'll never get the hang of section switches again though!

You sused it out, stop telling porkies.

The new, it appears hardly run, green Lima Western runs lovely and looks good. I do like a green Western. I know there are the Dapol and Heljan Westerns but there is something about a Lima one when it is fulling a train that looks good.

Hi Clive,

Does the above heavily edited post qualify as 30p in the swear box ?

What is wrong with the green bus that isn't on a bridge ?
