Here I am stuck in my manor and cannot go around collecting money for the G*R swear box all this talk about Kings, Saints and Halls.

When I made the section breaks in the steam loco sidings, I made them to accommodate a Black Five or similar sized 4-6-0. Now I have a Britannia, and a V2 they are too big. Well that is what you get for being greedy and not sticking to your own rules.

Don't buy a W1 then.....

No, that's what you get for being a Luddite and eschewing DCC!

Yes but no but yes but no but, the sidings were designed to take two 4-6-0s not a huge big 4-6-2 and a 4-6-0 so even with the extra C they are not long enough. Me own fault. The Britannia does look good sat on the turn table.

I hope you all have noticed the diesel repair fitter still hasn't fixed the dead Sulzer.

Probably self-isolating, remember "Coughs and Sneazels spread the diesels".....

Is that an Airfix 4F on the service from Huddersfield, Clive?  They still look good from this (normal) viewing distance.

It is, and it runs really well.

St Edmund's head was guarded by the wolf because he was so holy. The full story is the wolf accompanied the humans who found his head and only left them when the head was reunited with the rest of his body.

By the wonders of Google, the Life in question is here.

Late Saxon Life of St Edmund

Be warned, Saint's Lives tend to the miraculous and romantic, and this one was written  at least a century after the event.

It is probably not coincidence that the royal family of East Anglia were called the Wuffingas, and that wolf-like figures appear on the Sutton Hoo Helmet

I know its unlikely, given the history of your work, but don't paint the cut and shuts that you have done. The different colours used in the coaches and DMUs are addictive, and introduce a new game of "what did that come from" into every photo lol.
