When I made the section breaks in the steam loco sidings, I made them to accommodate a Black Five or similar sized 4-6-0. Now I have a Britannia, and a V2 they are too big. Well that is what you get for being greedy and not sticking to your own rules. Don't buy a W1 then..... 1

Mike. Yes but no but yes but no but, the sidings were designed to take two 4-6-0s not a huge big 4-6-2 and a 4-6-0 so even with the extra C they are not long enough. Me own fault. The Britannia does look good sat on the turn table. 4

RMweb Premium Clive Mortimore Posted March 30, 2020 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted March 30, 2020 Now a series of shots showing the arrival of a Huddersfield train behind a 4F and the stock for a Leeds train from the carriage sidings with a Crab hauling it. We are lucky that our intrepid photographer's friend is over the other side taking photos as well. They're going to CRASH!!!!!!! No they won't. Nearly did.... Miles apart The Jinty or Jocko is the station pilot, so far this session it hasn't had any work. Safely arrived at the buffer stops.
RMweb Premium Popular Post Clive Mortimore Posted March 30, 2020 Author RMweb Premium Popular Post Share Posted March 30, 2020 The last picture show the Britannia leaving for Preston and the class 5 that brought it to Sheffield back down to the loco sidings. They still look good from this (normal) viewing distance. 3

It is probably not coincidence that the royal family of East Anglia were called the Wuffingas, and that wolf-like figures appear on the Sutton Hoo Helmet

cheesysmith
I know its unlikely, given the history of your work, but don't paint the cut and shuts that you have done. The different colours used in the coaches and DMUs are addictive, and introduce a new game of "what did that come from" into every photo lol. 1
