I've got some pink material to make into a great long forked snake tongue that I shall sew onto my "No.1 going shopping mask", my "No.2 going shopping mask" has "I've got GONAD 13" written on it. The windows on two coaches still need their corners sorted. The Trailer First Corridor- corridor side. I have mounted this on a Replica power chassis. I like to place the power unit in the middle of a long unit. having a terminus station it doesn't mean that the power car is pushing five or more coaches. It only has 2 or 3 to push. TFK, compartment side. These must have been the last gangwayed coaches to have doors to each compartment. The Trailer Open Second, I have another tow of these to make. The Driving Motor Brake Second, another one for the other end has still to be built. 11

cheesysmith
Was it the 6S that were disbanded and hooked up to EPB driving trailers? You then could have 3 trains for the price of one, just need 2 DTSO and you can then make 2 tadpoles.

They were indeed an oddity. There were four compartments at the inner end of each driving trailer, the rest of the train being open. Each of those compartments had a door. The CIGs/BIGS also had a door into the compartment nearest the cab but the last CIGs were built before the last VEPs.

RMweb Premium Popular Post Clive Mortimore Posted July 23, 2020 Author RMweb Premium Popular Post Share Posted July 23, 2020 After a busy weekend with the virtual Lyddrail where Sheffield Exchange had the most viewers when I did my zoom session, just the train wouldn't behave themselves. They thought it fun to embarrass me by jumping off the tracks. Then I had rip roaring toothache which didn't help me get on with anything. Well tonight i done some driving and photographing of toy trains. The station throat. The diesel stabling point. The steam loco yard. The type 3's driver is waiting for the signalman to reset the points so he can reverse into the stabling point. Seen out on the mainline a LMS articulated excursion pair.

We see the arrival of a Leeds stopper formed of LMS open coaches with one of thos every reliable Fairburn class 4s. Followed by a Cravens two car unit that has arrived from Preston.

RMweb Premium Clive Mortimore Posted July 23, 2020 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted July 23, 2020 I didn't stop there so here are some more. A Standard 4 4-6-0 takes a parcels train to Manchester. The signalman doesn't have time for a cuppa as there are two locos that need to be placed on the country end of two trains. A Brush Type 2 slows as it about to couple up to a train from Manchester to Grimsby for its last leg of the journey. A Peak reverses on to a York train, the same set that has recently arrived from Leeds. Meanwhile on the mainline a 3 car Derby unit nears the end of its journey to Bradford. Here it is seen entering the Doncaster sidings that act as many of the destinations. To end the session we see the Parcels train taking the Manchester sidings cross over and entering the said sidings. Hi Cheesysmith, After looking at the date stamp on the photograph are you in a time warp or is the photograph from your archive ? Gibbo.
cheesysmith
No, it is a lot simpler than that. Changed the batteries, just could not be arsed changing the date in the camera. 3
RMweb Gold Enterprisingwestern Posted July 24, 2020 RMweb Gold Share Posted July 24, 2020 Whilst looking for something else, (isn't it always the case!), I came across this which I started in the early 80's. The problem is, I can't remember where I was going with it as it's so long ago! I've still got all the bits, and I thought that the collected wisdom of "cut and shut r us" hereabouts might be able to help. TIA. Mike. 2

Hi Mike, Perhaps we could have a competition to see who has the longest running unfinished project hidden away in the "Nearly Started" box. You are quite someway ahead of me with the above offering being from the early 1980's. As to where you are going it looks too long to any kind of BG. The best I can manage are these two as yet unfinished concoctions from 1991: Class 82 which is quite well on and soon to be disqualified. Class 83 languishing in the "Nearly Started" box.
