Be afraid........very afraid.

are we brave enough to ask what the answer to that question is? Can there really be something more terrifying than those three letters.

Might be worth another 10p !

PRP for the van is £12.50.

Assembled and painted, plus post and packaging, £2,000,000 or nearest offer.

Do  not forget the Post Brexit Customs charges mate. Makes it at least another £500,001

Unlike Northern Ireland and Kent as far as I am aware there isn't a customs post at Gainsborough therefore Lincolnshire at the moment remains within the UK so you won't be charged any duty when you buy it off me.

Hi Clive, Gibbo and the rest...

I hope you will excuse my putting up something on this thread which is neither a girl band,  a cut and shut, or an unpainted coach?

It is in fact an end to end 2000s ish, fully scenic layout which will I will be taking delivery of in about a week!

OK , I know its not 1950/60s, I know I have been planning a continuous run layout, but it is BUILT. More than can be said for my continuous run, whose builders can't start it cos they are waiting on Peco for points, not only for my layout, but also for the two layouts that are in their workshop queued in front of mine!

Close up of the junction in the middle of the scenic section,

I hope this wets your appetites?

More (if you don't ban me) to follow!

Best regards

Some progress

The two GWR designed carriages are coming along well, have some suface filling on one end so will use car filler.

Will look nice behind my NBL Type 2.

DMUs

Drawn up Swindon cross country 3 car set but may need to modify the centre as possibly an error.

Will then start on internal sides for 120 then a WR InterCity set of similar to class 126.

Just got to find a suitable roof for the Swindon stuff so I can copy and resin cast a big pile.

Not a bad first attempt, did not do more than score so upped speed and passes for trial number 2.

Got another 3 packs of card on order as well.

Next design will be for 3 sheets of inside sides to laminate.

Is there still a toll bridge over the Trent somewhere over that way? Something likefourpence ha’penny each way?

Dunham Bridge on the A57; the car toll is 40p.

Hi Northmoor,

It was 20p last time I went down that road and I didn't realise and had no change, only my cash card. I was waved through which was good of them.

Gibbo.

You had me confused, there is another toll bridge off the a57 near to a place also called Dunham which costs 12p per transmit or 25p per day.  But it's called the Warburton bridge and is the cut through to Lymm from the A57 between Irlam and Warrington.

I got caught with no money ready at Dunham Bridge, the white van behind me was happy as I fumbled for change.

The best use to be the tolls at the Dartford Crossing, there were some "express tolls" where you threw your money into a net and it was counted by a machine and through you went. Well you had to be pretty fast getting back into your car after picking up the coins which missed the net or the barrier went down again. So a friend of my friend found out.
