According to the scibbles, those are folded into a u shape and make up the sole bars.

Yes, I shall do as much detailing as possible before folding it up.  I have the plans/and or photos in one of the volumes on Southern Railway wagons, so hopefully should get everything where it's supposed to go :)

Of course, soldering advice shall come from Ricey's scribblings on the matter in his etched loco construction book.

I'm still no committing myself though...

They do look a bit long to be just the solebars, maybe they cut up to be the headstocks as well.

Sorry for my Sunday morning ramblings, I guess it comes from looking at kits offered on Ebay and trying to work out from the pictures if they look buildable and if they are complete!

Good luck with the wagon.

John.

Oh dear, thankfully I did hear Bon Scott sing it in 1978 at the ABC in Colchester.

Oh so jealous of you on that one .....

As for Andy's video, that conductor deserves an award and/or a huge pay rise.  Keeping two drummers in time is one thing, but that many .......

I'm not saying I am going to be building it, but I am saying, I've just broken the 'things that must only be bought & sold on eBay and never opened or used' rule...

Anyone know where I can get haloperidol over the counter ;)

Hi Tim,

The precise reason I chop Triang stuff up and then glue it all back together in a different order !

Gibbo.

Our Band had 7 Drummers in 9 years, haha, the last one started with us at 14 years old, and lasted the last 5 years. He knew all the old classics like Johnny B Goods, Wipe Out, Move it and Alice:nono:(who the F .... is Alice), etc as that's all he heard from his Mum and Dad.

Nice to see a 126 or Edinburgh Glasgow Swindon Unit . I see you are doing the Trix coaches cut and . I’ve just started mine following Signaller 69 and your inspiration . I’m using the chassis of a Lima 117 .

Is the other unit a hastings DEMU? If so, we need to see more.

'Alf a 'Astings? H'excellent!

When building the Glasgow-Edinburgh set I was left with some roofs and underframes from the Trix coaches. The roofs are the right width and profile for Hasting units and scratchbuilding straight sided coaches isn't too hard. Photos a little later once I have edited them.

I have worked out you do not need a Lima chassis.

You need a collection of DMU parts.

A couple of engine designs, a battery box, radiators, the air or vacuum tanks.

Then make moulds and resin cast.

This would save me having to aquire Lima chassis.

Yes please Clive, when you can. Nice to see your EG set running and I'm also intrigued with the Hastings set.

Exactly what I'm planning for future builds Martin!
