Hi Andy

Some of there stuff is not that good in my opinion, I was watching some of the videos the other night.

Anyhow , no trains ran tonight. I hacked some Lima 117 DMU bits into a class 115 four car unit and made the body for a 121 DTS only to find I don't have a spare 117 center car under frame...I am sure I can come up with a solution.

Photos possibly tomorra if I remember.

Tonight's tune is newish from 羊文学, they are not like many Japanese bands I view on You Tube. They are not into an image but seem to concentrate on their indie style of music, enjoy

There drummer Hiroa Fukuda, is huge, very non Japanese.

The drummer looks like he's a sumo wrestler in his spare time!  Or maybe it's the other way 'round!

Hi Clive,

I've just had a wee browse on t'interweb loking for this band.  They are called Hitsujibungaku , or sheep literature!  Looking at some of the photos it's the clothes he chooses to wear that makes Fukuda look  bigger than what he actually is, especially when hunched over his drum kit!

I have done the basic work on the class 115 and the 121 DTS.

Not having a spare 117 center car chassis has been over come by cutting the engine and other gubbins form a spare unpowered DMBS chassis. Now got to make the bits that go under the DTS.

While I go back into the toy room to take some snaps here is a song you will like, if not I will arrange for my youngest to get some more practical experience  for his degree in Audiology and wash your ears out.

Class 115

002.jpg.66c56269f3fc08c6ce3a7a142acec00e.jpg

Driving Motor Brake Second (at the back of the train)

004.jpg.7d4cb154965e011547d6044703c8d408.jpg

Trailer second, these differed to the ones in the class 116 and class 125 units.

006.jpg.d0eddf3ca93e49f19eadd3bed8b193bf.jpg

The other side.

005.jpg.c0e40205c2b895f8a7606f7306811263.jpg

Trailer Composite. The body of these were the same as on 117 and 118 units except the first class was at the other end, five seating bays , not four. So to convert this one it will have to wait until it is repainted.

003.jpg.1abe8be52ee189ddebc0f10379e3a1af.jpg

The other DMBS, this one has no motor.

The class 121

007.jpg.e0e6037cc672e63eab40a89b384c402f.jpg

The Driving Trailer Second. Four manufacturers have made the 121 DMBS but none have done a DTS to go with it and at the coast of a Dapol or Bachy 121 to cut about to make a DTS.....Lima is the way to go. Sorry the phone camera had other ideas about what it was focusing on.

Now for that Peters bloke some shots of my operating session with all diesel hauled trains. Totally unrealistic but who cares.

A English Electric Type 3 departs with a non-gangway set.

The BR Type 2 that arrived with the non gangway set makes its way to the signal. It has to wait as a Metro Vic is about to depart with a train.

The Metro- Vic Co-Bo leaves for somewhere nice. It is the only second time since I started the model in 1985 it has ran with a train, and its first passenger train. It ran lovely so one day it might get finished.

There is a bit of shuffling of locos to clear the platforms.

026.jpg.a6947bcab43986697f30c20c46e5671a.jpg

The Sulzer Bo-Bo drifts towards the red signal, where it will halt waiting for the signal to say it can enter the shed.

027.jpg.321ea505b9a0f7a54af7f020b3923a5b.jpg

Green light of the ground signal tells the driver it is OK to reverse into the shed.

028.jpg.cb89b31668b20856988d66e9396d8342.jpg

After the Sulzer was parked on the fuel point the crew of this Brush type 2 took their machine to platform 8 to be coupled to the waiting train.

029.jpg.58f53eb234e1d0e3c24e84c2a06dee0d.jpg

D9821 has made its way from platform 3 to the fuel point.

030.jpg.9fb6d407d5e8076c6e7b174c45ead109.jpg

Another Brush has done the journey from the shed to the station and is seen backing down Platform 2.

Two more trains depart

D10 Tryfan leaves under Enterprise Road Bridge. This is another loco that has only been used on my depot layouts. It is an old Mainline Peak it really looked the bees knees when thundering around on the mainline with its train.

Last few shots from tonight two arrivals.

034.jpg.36b77fd592078ac418f3b72beb87112b.jpg

035.jpg.0f1c33794d8969d4656051d73f1e0c22.jpg

Yet another Brush Type 2 and a Baby Deltic arrive at the same time. Again it is the first time the Baby Deltic has taken a train around the layout. When i run the trains on the mainline they do six or seven laps minimum before being sent into the station, where is the fun in letting them only go round once. We all like to see model trains running, that is why we do this hobby.

036.jpg.70ac0420bd05240cc4f921f37599e18b.jpg

A high up shot, I still like seeing the trains crossing the station throat from one side to the other as the parcels is doing.

Final photo showing the platform ends after six trains have been run.

As you said, totally unrealistic.

Not one rainbow coach in sight!

And you even let a Western creep into view.

Great to see you're enjoying yourself.

All the best

Hi Tony

Accuracy in modelling is an excellent goal to aim for. One which I am committed to, but every now and then you have to take a day off.

We can see you have been having much FUN Clive, definitely what this hobby is all about. Great to see so much going on too.

I would love some form of long continuous run, with gentle curves, to let my stuff stretch its legs, maybe one day.

Happy modelling!

Martyn.

Needs more DMUs.  Could you do a just before closure scene, with a few DMUs running about in blue, and unused platforms? The 70s with the neglect and run down bit, and the closures is over looked.

I have done all DMU sessions, they are excellent, no having to shunt locos about, really easy.
