charliepetty
Leeds show is one of the most under rated shows in Yorkshire, I have been going for 25 years + and it is always enjoyable, good selection of general trade and the layouts are normally very good. For some reason no one shouts about it, WELL I AM ! Charlie

RMweb Premium Barry O Posted October 9, 2014 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted October 9, 2014 We always have a layout which children can operate. To make it more interesting this year we have moved on from our "train set on a board" to a Trakmat on a board - albeit an old Hornby trakmat. Hopefully the wiring will be a lot tidier at the show. The intention is to show people how to add more to a basic train set to something with a bit more operational interest. And the children can have a drive! See it in the foyer at this year's show. RMweb Premium Barry O Posted October 15, 2014 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted October 15, 2014 It would appear that we are no longer allowed to put up our own road signs.. they now have to be polycarbonate and put up by a third party .. many thanks to the local council! for supporting shows in the city. So to get to the Show by car you need to aim for the Harrogate Road (A61) - the Grammar school is north of the outer ring road - more details soon! Butler Henderson
Worth pointing out that the 36 bus does pass the school gates as stated in the promotions for the show but does not stop unless the driver is being very kind, anyone using the bus to get there needs to get off at the stop before Alwoodly Gates traffic lights. Yes, thank you for that. While that is the case the 36 is the only public transport to get to the Grammar School from the City Centre.
