Love it, saying sorry for a slight delay in making sure everything is right.

Yes - this whole story is a refreshing change in the world of r-t-r model railways.  No loads of questions about 'where are they?' but good solid information about how they are getting to the UK - so we can have fun tracking the ship - and then an update of what is happening post arrival in the UK together with an apology for why it is taking so long (a whole week!!!).   The even better news, which I hope DJM will try to maintain, is that he actually knows what is coming - quite an advance on others although I will concede that he is not yet importing stuff in quite the same quantity as Hornby :mail:

Dave, you are checking each model at KMRC or at the docks?...

Hi mate,

I'm checking them all at Kernow's starting Monday next week if anyone wants to pop in and say hello?

Cheers

Dave

I would have thought that giving them a test run at Boscarne Junction would be more appropriate :sungum:

Whats the next model to land Dave? Looking forward to the J94's

It's a toss up between the O2 and the J94's mate.

Not sure at the moment which as deco samples and minor alterations to both are being done at the moment.

Cheers

Dave

Am standing in Kernow's shop currently awaiting the delivery.

I understand there were problems on the M5 this morning that may have contributed to the delay.

Promised for 12.00 but nothing as yet.

So, in keeping with a recent theme.......

Apologies for the late delivery........again! Lol :-)

Cheers

Dave

Perhaps they were hijacked by the Pirates of Penzance...

It has been said that I am the very model of a modern major general! ;-)

Delivery arrived eventually

Testing underway, 48 done so far.

Lol, so far around 200 of the 500 checked.

2 models I'd be embarrassed to put in an NQP pile, but as I have a full amount of spares should be fixable quite easily.

3 that started hesitantly but after a few minutes settled down nicely.

And 1 that stuttered that needs to be looked at.

So 3 so far out of the 200 that Im not prepared to put my name too.

However, me saying their ok, won't stop them being kicked around by the postie unfortunately, so I'm hoping that side of things goes ok as well.

HTH

Cheers

Dave

.

Can we now assume that the DJM knockers ("they still haven't produced anything") will now disappear - or will they just start on someone else who is actually doing something worthwhile (and hopefully profitable).

.

Oh, didn't you know I did a great line in vapourware? Lol

Mind you, all the nay Sayers never have to ba lls to do it themselves, has anyone else ever noticed that?

Cheers

Dave

All in all quite successful then - Only 500?! At this rate they'll all be done tomorrow?

Was going to o do them tonight at the cottage I'm staying at, but that might have been a bit excessive. Lol

I should finish all the DC ones tomorrow and then all the DCC ones by lunchtime in Wednesday.
