RMweb Premium TimC Posted February 1, 2010 RMweb Premium Share Posted February 1, 2010 Hi On the old RMweb there was a post where you could download the BR Corporate Rail Alphabet fonts. I have rebuilt my PC and lost them. Can someone who has them please post them as a reply. Thanks in advance.
karabuni
The board system says you aren't allowed to upload this kind of file. If you send a PM with an email address, I'll attach the files (ttf format) Barry.

stevegr
Many of you may know about the trains I make for the Open Bve sim. I've been looking around for many years for the correct fonts to number my external views and now thanks to this thread I now have them. Thanks. RMweb Gold Dagworth Posted October 23, 2020 RMweb Gold Share Posted October 23, 2020 Reopening an old topic but it looks like there will be a new version of Rail Alphabet appearing on the network soon. https://www.theguardian.com/artanddesign/2020/oct/23/doyenne-of-design-how-margaret-calvert Andi
DY444
Another revival and Rail Alphabet question. In the spirit of trying to avoid wasting ink and paper trying different sizes, please can anybody point me to the actual letter sizes used for the station name on running in boards and name signs attached to platform lamps, and, for the typical "Way Out", "Buffet", "Telephones" etc direction signs used on stations. I've found plenty of info about the alphabet font itself but can't seem to find anything on the actual letter sizes in typical station sign applications. Thanks
RMweb Premium Steven B Posted August 9, 2021 RMweb Premium Share Posted August 9, 2021 @DY444, you need Section 3 of the British Rail Corporate Identity Manual: http://www.doublearrow.co.uk/manual.htm Steven B.

Thanks. I'd ploughed through most of that but (typically) gave up before I got to the bit with the stuff I was after.
