Just wanted to order the above lamp hut and discovered the 'GWR concrete hut' in your online shop. Sadly there's no picture. Have you got a photo of that one?

Very nice work Mike! I'm curious to know how you do the bevelled brick capping - sorry I can't think of the correct architectural term. I can only think it's done using hand tools but it looks too good for that.

Thanks for your comments. The bevelled bricks process is a trade secret just now. It will be described in my forthcoming book on 'Laser cutting' for Modellers.

That’s a better reply than I could have hoped for - I suspected it might be a trade secret! I will look forward to your book...

Probably involves elves or a big hammer.

Britain’s smallest pub is now even smaller! Following a request to scale our 7mm Nutshell pub kit down to 4mm, I've prototyped this today. A couple of small features to add and it will be ready.

Again, I've used a 'living' hinge to get the MDF to bend at the corner.

A lasercut card wrap then goes on. The camera has picked up all the glue!!

It was suggested that I put some engraved details in the back wall. A great base for your own embellishments.

Engraved slates.

YOu do very good corners, I always lose a few bricks.

I  have been whimsically wondering about creating a Victorian age layout in black and white to make it look just like the photos and prints that are all we have of that era here.

Your model as shown there as is would be perfect if I decide to go for the more sepia tones!
