Hi.

I understand that the guide is available dor digital download. As I live in South Africa a list of local stores does not assist. Does anyone know where I can download this? It is not on pocketmags as suggested .regards

Brian

Apologies for the delay. It'll be uploaded today.

Excellent news - but I'm having a bit of a problem ( that might just be me of course )

I'm on an ipad and I can see the cover in the newsstand app and I can view a preview. There is a button that says 'buy' but when I click it my app crashes. Interestingly it says 'buy' rather than stating the price which is what I would normally see.

Like I said - the problem could be my end of course

I have attached some pictures to illustrate

I hope that this plan book will contain layout designs that are original ideas drawn up by the authors, not plans just copied straight from the layouts featured over the years in the same magazine they produce.

Looking forward to buying a copy next week!

Mmm, you're going to be a bit upset.

Virtually all of the layouts featured have appeared in BRM.

It's very nicely done, but there are only a handfull of original plans drawn up.

All the rest are layouts that have appeared in BRM with a full track plan and a few photos of the finished layout as I think it was when shown in BRM.

You then have a  fors/against box for each layout.

Some interesting features inside; a guide to track and points, the station layout formations is quite useful.

The 4 pages from Paul Lunn on Layout planning techniques was in my opinion the best bit.

Not a bad reference guide for £3.99 digital copy.

If you wanted something like the Peco setrack plans book then this isn't it.

Cheers

Ian

EDIT:- should add only skimmed through it so far and not really gone into any detail, the above is just my initial thoughts.
