M Graff
Hi all! I have started a build for a client. It is a HO model of a US made Richmond 4-6-0 that was built for the Swedish private railroad YEJ (Ystad Eslövs järnvägar). The kit is etched brass and uses a Bachmann 4-6-0 chassi. I have a bit more to do... :-)

EddieB
In the immortal words of Monty Python: and now for something completely different! A very distinctive design, three locos supplied by RLW in 1900, slightly rebuilt by Nohab and eventually passing into SJ in the 'forties, who classified them as B2. Later photos show a loss of some of the American features, but still retaining a distinctive profile. I wonder whether such an American ten-wheeler had any influence on the development of the highly successful SJ B class 4-6-0 of 1909, more generally attributed to the Prussian P8? The beginning of a fine model too, Michael. A kit, you say?
M Graff
The beginning of a fine model too, Michael. A kit, you say? Thanks.Yes a kit from http://www.byggsvenskt.nu/ The Bachmann loco have to be bought separately (this one was £125). The kit costs £110 (roughly). And to complete it, it needs buffers, hoses, lights and pipe fittings. So about £30 extra. So, a very rare locomotive in brass for under £270 WITH sound! :-) (Sure, in this case £££ is added to the price....my time costs as well.)
RMweb Premium Patrick SPF Posted October 20, 2014 RMweb Premium Share Posted October 20, 2014 The three locos nos 13 "Albo",14 "St Olof" and 15 "Borrby", were not very sucessful and were taken in by NOHAB in 1912-1914 and very heavily rebuilt with new cylinders and boiler. When the YEJ was nationalised in 1942 they became SJ class B2 and were scrapped in 1956. They were not that sucessful, but are well known as they appear in the "Piraten" series of books by Fritiof Nilsson.
M Graff
Hi all! I have just completed the build for my client. It is an HO scale model of the Richmond built ten wheeler "Albo". The reason it took so long to finish was the looong wait for parts... The model, which has a chassi from a Bachmann ten wheeler, was a really tricky build. That was mostly due to the fact that there is just that one photo that is available, and the building manual left a lot to own interpretation.... Here are the pics of the finished model: I am really satisfied how it turned out though. []

Tasty! I just found it by chance and I though I recognized this engine somewhere! Cheers Andreas
