A short video taking a look at the Heljan Stand, during the Warley National Model Railway Exhibition.
On show, as well a huge display of current production models, was a number of up and coming and prototypes, including the all 009 L&B Manning Wardle 2-6-2T's, 0 gauge GWR 61xx Large Prairie's, 00 gauge British Rail Class 07's, plus much, much more.
Filmed Saturday 26th November 2016, we take a closer look at these new models, plus more.
Hope you enjoy!

Unfortunately I cannot find a full side on photo but here are some I took of the Eastleigh 07 back at their Open Day in May 2009. Hopefully it provides some help in making a judgement, assuming that no major modifications have been made to 007 in recent times. I am sure there are many more to be found on Carl Watson's excellent photo site on the work at Eastleigh Works - www.carlwatson.com

Looking forward to this release.

all the best

Godfrey

The only thing I can see that is in the picture of the blue one the lubricator drive has come unclipped away from the frame, but as I was part of the team that measured the real thing everything else looks as it should be. We measured 07010 at Bitton and received other measurements from the East Lancs for the extra air brake version. As far as I know the wheels are correct.

Cab size? Certainly seems to be narrower than the Craftman model.

Does look shorter than the Craftsman example, but appears in proportion compared to the photos of the real thing. It may the Craftsman kit that needs correction.

I didn't take a picture of the underside of the model but I was looking at it closely the other day and it would be comparatively easy to make a plate to sit beneath the keeper plate if the height offends. 80thou plasticard would do it.
