Mike70
I've got a small part which has come off the bogie of a Hornby Gresley coach. Can anybody recommend a suitable adhesive for glueing it back on? I think the part was glued at the factory. But probably didn't have enough on it. Regards, Mike70. brossard
Cyano is what I use to fix small items. Get some of the good stuff, like "Zap-A-Gap" Medium with the green label. Don't use cyano near glazing, the fumes will fog it. Unfortunately, parts pinging off models happens all too often. John
Londontram
Don't ever try to glue the item or model direct, get a small blob of glue on a sacrificial surface (bit of card, off cut of plastic etc.) and use a cocktail stick to transfer some to the part or place you want to glue. brossard
One of those things that go without saying but should be said anyway. As we're on the subject I will add that I generally put a couple of drops on a baggie (I seem to collect an awful lot of these). The glue stays liquid for a surprisingly long time. I often use a toothpick, but for more precision, a piece of wire with a tiny drop on the end is good too. John
