Scenery and flowers,bushes and backscenes.

Recommended Posts

In the past ive found it realy hard to find the right scenic for making flowers for plant pots, flower beds ect.

Theres few good companys at Warley exhibition who make these scenic at ££ price.

This may have been covered on here before, but :read:

Ive stated making my own flowers for embankments, alotments and gardens,

from grated childrens "crayons".

And this works atreat.

Step one is to freeze your coloured crayons.

Step two use an old wood file or cheese grater.

Step three you have your fine crayon powders ready for your scenery...

Ive been making "static grass" carpet like strips...

Using the fine (Hornby) light green and yellow burnt grasses.

1 paint pva "watered glue" to plastic A4 card.

2,using static grass machines, grass over the wet glue area.

3,allow to dry for few hours.

4,use spray mount glue, over top of static grass, then sprinkle your flower base over.

5,once dry,the static grass wil peel off in strips from the A4 plastic card...

Im using the "green scenes" static grass machine...

Im very impressed with it!!

Price though wasn't cheap few years back...

We produced our own in the clubroom, dozens of them and made a tidy profit selling off the surplus.
