Banbury is the only n gauge layout attending this year. We did try to get some more layouts, and had hoped that our club layout would be ready, but unfortunately it was not meant to be. Banbury is a high quality layout, and we do have several traders who deal with n gauge. I hope that doesn't put you off from coming, as we have more than 30 quality layouts in attendance. Hope to see you there.

Banbury is loaded into the car just incase the forecast heavy rain is falling tonight. Stock etc to be loaded before setting off tomorrow morning.

ETA 08.00.

A new addition - Quite a few Royal Mail vans to glue down before the show opens!!

Thanks for the update Banbury.

This may be a bit too late, but for anyone trying to travel tonight, there has been an accident on the M26 at junction 2A, with queues now back as far as the Clacket Services on the M25. If any traders or exhibitors are just planning to leave now, avoid these roads at all costs.

We're loaded and ready for the Off.

Looking forward to this one as I personally have been to this show since it moved to its current location.

See you all there.

Just back from set up. Looks like a good show and should be better tomorrow when everybody else is there.

Just recovering, a big thank you to all who visited and to all participants, the Belgian lads are almost home by now and the two Dutch groups will be travelling tomorrow. The in hall drinks trolley seemed to work well and the caterers hope to expand it for next year, this also took the pressure off the upstairs café. We would have liked to have provided more seating but it was already Friday afternoon when it came to light that the 300 or so chairs we had used for the last two years from Medway Park had now gone!! Between us and the centre staff we were able to provide just enough seating so that it was not a problem, next year we will be hiring in more chairs.

We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves with Banbury.

Despite being down on crew, when we arrived on Saturday morning, a number of stewards were there with a large trolley to load the layout onto and then take it to our location in the hall. A very large space for us to occupy and set up. We were soon given the chairs and table that we had asked for.

Another team came round and erected the rope barriers once we had the layout up.

All this meant that we were set up and running well before opening time.

During the show, the  stewards came round with cups of tea and coffee.

A little more hectic after closing but that usually cant be helped at any show when everybody is trying to load and leave at the same time. We loaded the car where it had been parked a little distance away but were still driving out the venue about 50 minutes after closing.

So, from an exhibitors point of view it was a very good show.
