No worries I just know how easy it is to get carried away. Fuelling points are good as long as there is a reason to have one at the location it is. I have issues with engine sheds and fuelling points on layouts where locos just wouldnt have any reason to lay over in real life. I will be having a small fuelling point in the yard on MD however it will be for the use of refuelling the private owner shunter in the yard. There would be no need to refuel main line locos there.

Thanks for that Cav, l know what you mean about re-fuelling points they sometimes spoil a layout with 10 th 15 locos waiting on a small terminus hahaha. anyway l was banished to the back yard by SWMBO for major surgery on BS after she won the show down, hahaha still have to do some tiding of wires etc etc, the bus bar is at the back so it won't be seen...the bridge supports are only place there and not fixed....

Amazing what a difference a bit of sunshine makes. All too often we see layouts under artificial light. The bridge is a nice touch and makes a huge difference.

l always intended to feature a re-fuelling point, but maybe more track at the station end would spoil it ? point taken...cheers Cav..

George,

The fuelling point in Deesdale Road was given positive comment today ... I wonder who made it!

Cheers, Peter

Now that's my type of weathering, hahahha

I would suggest never ever weathering like that. It will look wrong no matter how 'prototypical' it is.

Whatcthe fuelling point or the quote? It worked on deesdale as it was a terminus. If Im honest though, and no offence to Andy of course, Deesdale wasnt a favourite of mine. Always seemed too cramped and tracky for me. I like a layout to breath with loads of scenery compared to the railway in it. Maybe why Im not a fan of small layouts I reckon.

Morning Cav, I agree about a layout having room to breath as you so rightly put it. Deesdale Grew somewhat out of control and I agree about looking contrived now looking back on it.

Watch out for the new Layout, you MAY / HOPEFULLY be pleasantly surprised.

Altough BS is not a terminus as such, it is a terminating station for a lot of services, so the loco will appear from the undercover station with only one coach in view (you have to imagine the are another 7 coaches on the train, the loco will then come off to be replaced with a fresh loco for the return working which has come off the re-fuelling point and then runs past the train (1 coach) to pull the train back through the station ? thats the plan anyhow...appreciate your comments...

Morning George,

There are some lovely images of 67006 pulling the 'Cornish Riviera Statesman' from Penzanze to Leeds in glorious Cornish sunshine on the thread 'Cornwall Today - Daily Duchy Updates'! Thought you and Andy might like them, there are some superb photographers on there and a bit further back, a 66 in the same glorious light on the China clay! Well worth a look mate,

Kind regards,

Jock.

Have been making the station heres some progress pictures, (the figures are for scaling purpose only they will not feature in the layout), also finished off the bridge over the river ready for some sort of river bed not shure what it will be made of yet ? also finished off the wire in the tube type rods by fixing beads on the ends to make operation easier.....
