Hi Rob, long-time lurker but seems like a good time to drop in and say how much I enjoy this thread and your layouts. The ground textures and the stock weathering in particular are fantastic. All very nice for those of us with a LSWR leaning too.

Adam

Hi Adam and welcome to the bewilderment that is the Sheep Chronicles. Always a good time to drop in. Thanks for the kind words and I'm very pleased  that you are enjoying my somewhat chaotic efforts.

The L&SWR is a lovely railway and perhaps,  one day, I will manage an attempt at the pre-grouping side of things.

Bleat Wharf is a return to the dear old S&DJR but rest assured, the L&SWR is not forgotten with hopefully the terminus at Lamb Regis emerging from the wreckage after Bleat.

Well  that was a good day at the office.

Great win for Wales.

National pride restored in what has been a fantastic six nations

Can't help but think I have finished at the right time but now safely at home drinking beer.

No modelling tonight but might well do a bit tomorrow if the weather stays as is.

Back to beer.

Wow....this is one of those frightening pictures because wherever you stand, in front, to the side, above, below those eyes are always looking at you.

Move about and it follows you......

I think I'll have chicken tomorrow to be safe!

A very close friend of mine is currently tending his flock and lambing in this awful weather.

If you want a realistic addition to your layout ?

In other news,  I looked at your excellent article whilst in Smiffs this afternoon and decided to buy a rather nice pork loin rather than the magazine, I hope you won't be offended ?

First of you to mention 'C○ck' will be required to attend at the boot room to have a chat with Grayson.........without tea and biscuits.

You have been warned.

Elsewhere in this world of bewilderment, I am plodding on ( official term)  with Bleat Wharf.

The track work is now painted  and weathered. Next it will be cleaned and tested before ballasting starts.

I tend not to rush this as time spent on the ballast improves the look of the track work no end. I anticipate this will slow things down a bit.

Still dabbling...

Sh1t cobbles. No seriously: they are the finest representation of scoria setts I've seen to date. Common in the North East but exported all over the world by the Tees Scorriea Brick Company. They were still being used on newbuild housing estates until the company folded in the mid 1960's.

This is my favorite set of scoria setts.

Afternoon all..

I have decided not to update matters for the forseeable. Work is ongoing with Bleat to get it ready for the Taunton show and I prefer to concentrate on the practical side of modelling..

Mutton is at Nailsea in a couple of weeks so a busy time is ahead.
