Now look what you started, and whats more I couldn't afford a dry cleaners when I spilt egg on my face, oh! hang on, I may have just got that wrong ?

There are also reports of a convoy of railway enthusiasts travelling down the M5 stopping at every service station asking for directions to the Fabled and Lost Empire which was once Cullompton. Some were displeased that only burgers in baps were available and no "real" fish and chips to be seen on the menu.

Whatever next ?

Now Cullumpton should not be confused with the nearby Stogumber, which as we all (?) know is the home of Wessex Wagons. Which takes us neatly back to Wrexham where the wagons are (were?) made. Almost Mornington Crescent.

That's an illegal jump, so now you're in Nip.

Further afield and much more appetising than Cullumpton (I find large portions heavy on the stomach) is the hamlet of Cow Roast  in the civil parish of Wigginton, Hertfordshire) There does not appear, fortunately, to be a Mutton Roast.

More importantly, I am advised that Model Railways Direct (no connection) are presently offering Hornby R7122 Sheep at a 99p discount. An opportunity to fill the fields of Mutton Et al. with a very rare breed of standing-still sheep.

I never realised Billy Connolly was Welsh.

I'll always see his lyrics in a different light now.

"Or when your out walkin' in the country wae a bird
And your strollin' over fields just like a farmers herd
And somebody shouts keep aff the grass
And you think how obsurd
And Squelch you find why farmers all wear wellies"
