Well, dare I say it...........Things are quietly coming together........There, I dared.

I therefore need to start thinking of a track plan.

A working title for the new project is Outwool Basin.

I felt quite guilty about hijacking the Sheepmeister's thread so here goes...

No problem Chris. Lockdown Fen was a contributing factor in the decision to once again look to the East.

The ex Great Eastern branch lines have a certain bucolic attraction.

And its rustling by the way.......

  • NHY 581 changed the title to The Sheep Chronicles : The Final Frontier. These are the continuing adventures of Norman Lockhart, connoisseur of traditional British breakfasts and fine cream teas. Chapter 5: Outwool. Dipping a hoof into an ex- Great Eastern backwater.

Even if it is pidgin French, Chateau Sheep has a certain je ne c'est qoi compared with Maison Moutton.

Very nice tram engine. I trust it will soon be a slightly scruffier tram engine and you're not going to stick a face on it? :D

Interesting choice Rob, I do like the version without its sheeps underclothing though, all those sheep rods moving around look rather nice.

I will look forward to its appearance in due course, especially once its been in the field and got slightly mucky.

For some reason, I am thinking of a road in open fens, tramway down one verge, a road junction on the opposite side guarded by a disused pillbox. Telephone poles down the other verge and very little else.

Oh yes the pill box.....I resisted on Lockdown Fen but it would look good...small stretches of unnecessary brick wall also add to the overall picture.
