That said, sticking with toy trains (because that is what this is all about...), I maintain we really have not had it so good..

I have all the stock I would want for all three of my layouts. The missing items are on their way. A Midland 1P from Bachmann for Bleat Wharf, an ex-L&SWR road van for Mutton (eventually! ) and another Peckett or two for Sheep Dip.

All the prototype locos I craved as a youngster are now available RTR.

We are seeing more pre-grouping prototypes being produced by Hornby and Bachmann and that ticks the boxes for me alright.

The challenge, with such temptation that this presents, is staying focused. Drama will ensue if a rtr ex GER E4 or J67/69 be threatened as I am reconsidering my Ex-Great Eastern branch adventure. That said, I have all the stock I need for that as well.......and near  enough all the buildings.........Space is the issue but then again.......I could just as easily build it as not.

This is a very good time to be a modeller in 4mm.

That LSWR Saddle Tank looks nice......bit expensive though considering what RTR O Gauge is now selling for, nevertheless, it is nice !

Will Bleat Wharf,  Mutton , and Sheep Dip now , in view of the PM's announced  changes today, come out of Flockdown?

We've never gone into Flock down, Paul. Suitably socially distanced we have continued as before.

Lovely CK but far, far too steep for this modestly equipped sheep....

Rob.

Do you have a suitable Bagnall that could be captured in action?

Cheers,

I therefore work on the basis that if it looks right, it probably is........or to put it another way.........'Apply broad brush and stand well back' .........which sums up my approach to the whole modelling thing anyway.

Yes indeed. Or as my grandmother used to say: It's not about the size of the building blocks or how detailed they are, it's about which blocks to select and how you put them together.

Not that she ever actually said that. Or anything remotely like it. But she made the best meatballs on the planet.

Thanks Rob,

Lovely weathered Bagnall there.

Be nice to see a few more shots of it in action.

Cheers,

A beautiful evening but looking ahead, it looks like a bit of rain is rolling down the valley

I know it's meant to be 'many places', but this really feels like it's somewhere in Wales and the presence of the pannier just reinforces that!
