"I may be ewe, I may be ram,

I may be mutton, I may be lamb,

But on the hoof, or on the hook,

I b'ain't as stupid as I look!"

From "Babe, the sheep-pig" by David Wood, from an original story by Dick King-Smith.

(I watched this last week on stage in Torquay. Sherry had several roles, but none of them was a sheep.)

Well, That's my last night shift ahead of Christmas out of the way.

I can safely say that life seems to have caught up with me and two consecutive 12hr nightshifts have left their mark. I used to do this week in and week out with no apparent issues but no more it seems.

I'm a tired sheep.

So, a day on which I had hoped to potter about with some time spent modelling will perhaps inevitably  need rejigging.

A very Merry Eweltide to you and yours, Rob.

Years ago I had to phone someone in another organisation. I asked the switchboard operator "Can I speak to Mr Yuille, please?".

A colleague behind me interjected "You'll be lucky". In theatrical parlance, I corpsed and had to hang up and call back later.

Morning all.

Off for what will be my last shift until next year.

Should be a busy day but hoping to finish early enough to put my feet up later with a nice glass of Port.

Veselé Vánoce !!

Altered to the obligatory joke that always occurs when the year ends in 19 and it is Christmas Eve.

Rob - how excellent - I didn't even realise you could purchase one in NCB livery! An ideal companion to the odd Peckett or three!

God Save the Queen!

Mange Tout CK.

Sourced by the Memsahib. It's a limited edition produced by Bachmann for Model zone from about 2010.

It needs weathering of course. Prior to this a bit of detailing added and the cabside number plates removed. I'm not going bonkers on this one. I have however removed the old grease from the gears. It was a tad sticky but I then oiled around and that seemed to ease things. First impressions are that it is a decent runner.

Our magnificent generals, General Gordon and General Booth.
