Blummin' yardsman 'asn't got a bleeding clue, the 'ook should be on the ground if not in use.

Stick a crate under the hook, with strapping, and some blokes from Little Muddle dairy.

There is definitely no tension in the cable so the hook needs to be supported.

Can’t have the chaps from Little Muddle as they are still in deep conversion about the crate and how to get it off the lorry....don’t want to disturb their meeting!!

but.....

can they borrow your crane as it looks man enough to lift the crate!

Does it come with wheels?

Happy New Year

As my mum, bless her, used to point out, Muhammad Ali was a brilliant boxer.  But never as good as her favorurite, Cassius Clay.  Didn’t he join the army or something?

My mum was good at this sort of thing.  She had a friend who moved into a 3 storey bungalow and had the ceiling semtexed...

She wasn't Hylda Baker by any chance?

If you can imagine a South Wales Valleys version of Hylda, but a good bit less scary, actually that's not too far off!  Mad as a bag of badgers, but an irrepressible sense of fun and mischief, coupled with the core belief that there was no point in having children if you couldn't mess with their heads a bit.

I miss her terribly!

Our cat didn't watch from afar. The exploratory paw in the engine shed was dealt with by modelling the shed  closed with the doors shut.

Alex

They are truly odd creatures. WFC was fascinated by it all. Preferred the tank engines and was extremely  taken with the Bachmann  1F  and the Dapol B4.  Having previously found her stood in the goods yard at Mutton, I was prepared but she was the modicum of decorum.

In other news, I'm up and about. Not awake but one step at a time.

Will load car when Memsahib and Memsahib minor emerge.
